Return Policy


  1. Special Orders are not eligible for returns, refunds or cancellations (any product we do not have in stock). Citizen Maine Home will work with the manufacturer to replace orders that have qualifying manufacturer defects or shipping damage.
  2. In stock furniture must be returned with a store receipt within 7 days of product delivery or pick up.
  3. Any in-stock furniture that is returned is subject to at minimum a 15% restocking fee (at management's discretion) and a local re-delivery fee if required (additional charges apply for locations beyond a delivery radius of 30 miles).
  4. Returned products must be in showroom condition with no stains, scratches, and/or breakdown of foams, leather, upholstery, wood, trim, spring/support mechanisms.
  5. Only one exchange per purchase.
  6. Returned products will only be eligible for store credit.
  7. This return policy is not valid on clearance merchandise, special orders, AS-IS products. All manufacturer’s warranties supersede this policy.
  8. Estimated lead times for special orders are not guaranteed. Citizen Maine Home is not responsible for delays in production that are beyond our control.


Citizen Maine Home requires payment at time of order. Customer is responsible for delivery & receiving charges.

Store & Online Purchases:

Our first priority is that you are indeed happy with your purchase! If you are not satisfied we want to hear from you to provide us with an opportunity to correct any oversights or errors on our part.  Please review our returns policy as described below.

Please contact us before returning or exchanging any items.

Returned items will be credited back to the original credit card used at the time of purchase.

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders.  

Our return policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Your items should not be worn, washed or damaged and be in its original condition with store tag attached.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Perishable items are not returnable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Perishable pantry products are not eligible for returns.

Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Sale items are final - Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

You will be responsible for paying for shipping costs when returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of  shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a shipping service that provides tracking or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item as items may be lost in the mail which we cannot control.
